Recently, I had the privilege of participating in the 7th edition of the National Physiotherapy Congress , organized in Sibiu, an event of particular importance for our community of physiotherapy specialists. This congress, already a reference point in the field, brought together experts from Romania and Europe, open to sharing ideas, experiences and innovations aimed at taking physiotherapy to another level.
One of the important moments for me was the opportunity to present together with Dr. Alin Pandea, primary physician orthopedic surgeon , a topic that is very close to my heart: "Physiotherapy management of cervicogenic headache." This is a condition that affects many people, and the correct physiotherapy interventions can make a significant difference in the quality of life of patients. Our presentation focused on modern and effective ways to treat this type of pain, using innovative techniques, such as Dry Needling, Percutaneous Intratissue Electrolysis (EPI), Ecoguided Intratissue Neuromodulation or Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP).
The event was impressive not only for the quality of the presentations and the diversity of the topics covered, but also for the large number of participants. Over 300 specialists were physically present at the congress , and the online platform brought together more than 2400 participants , which demonstrates the increased interest in innovations in physiotherapy. This massive participation, both in physical and virtual format, underlines the importance of the congress for professionals in the field and shows us how valuable such opportunities are for sharing knowledge and collaborating between experts.
Physiotherapy is a constantly evolving field, and this year's congress was an excellent opportunity to discuss the latest advances. There was a special emphasis on technological innovations and new therapeutic approaches that have the power to transform patients' lives. Specialists from all over Europe contributed to creating an atmosphere of collaboration and knowledge exchange, an essential element for the development of our profession.
A remarkable aspect of the event was the spirit of community and engagement. I was proud to see so many dedicated colleagues, who not only shared their expertise, but were eager to learn and grow together. Together with my partners from Dry Needling Romania, Osteo Performance, David G. Simons Academy, Cervico-Cranio-Mandibularǎ Academy and RestartiX , through the "Stop! Headache" program we contributed to promoting innovative techniques in the treatments of cervicogenic pain and other musculoskeletal conditions.
The congress was not only an opportunity to present innovative ideas and solutions, but also a moment of reflection on how we can constantly improve our therapeutic approaches. The collaboration between doctors and physiotherapists, which we highlighted in our presentation, is essential for the success of treatments.
Finally, I would like to thank all my colleagues and participants who made this event a real success. Together, through knowledge exchange and innovation, we are taking physiotherapy to another level. I am confident that all these joint efforts will have a significant impact on our patients and on the future of physiotherapy.
